Maggie Malick  Wine Caves                               Near Harpers Ferry!

What Maggie's visitors say...

It take a great deal of effort to make a good wine. There is a lot to learn about wine, too. Maggie, husband Mark, and the tasting room associates work hard to de-mystify wine and provide a positive experience for Wine Cave visitors.

Here's what some of our visitors have to say about the Wine Cave:

"Maggie is a brilliant winemaker with varietals that will please just about any palate. Mark is the consummate host. Every step of the way was handled with a blend of professionalism and comfort that never made it feel like it was just another transaction for the winery.
We cannot recommend this winery enough - for a day trip, for your special occasion or private event. You will not be disappointed.

"Mark and Maggie really go out of their way to make you feel welcomed.  They are very knowledgeable and friendly. The wine selection is wide enough to satisfy any taste.  The grounds are beautiful and large enough to accommodate big groups, families with children."
- Tania M.

"The service there, what can I say?...Outstanding!!! You can find knowledgeable hosts at all the wineries but it's important to find enthusiastic ones that you can tell are passionate about the product. That is Maggie's!!"
- Veronica L.

"What I liked about (Maggie's) is they have been growing grapes for years, in the past they were selling them to other vineyards, (but) they decided to make some wine of their own....It was nice...to have grapes grown right there. You do not see that very often."

"...the staff...(is) totally awesome, super nice, and, basically, there to make you enjoy your visit. So many other wineries make like they are doing you a favor by letting you visit. But this place is the exact opposite of that. They want you to have a good time. They want you to hang out. They want you to return, and they seem to genuinely enjoy serving you and seeing you have a good time.

"I can now say that I had a tasting where I liked every single wine!! I was blown away. The views around the valley of the vineyard are absolutely breathtaking! Our tasting was informative, not skimpy, and again...we liked all (the) tastings!! They also make a fabulous sangria!! And you can bring your own food!!! I'm so excited I found my new 'spot'. Mark (the grape grower) told us all about building the cave and the inner-workings of the vineyard!!...I recommend this place to anyone!!
- Amber R.

"The wine was fantastic. I was impressed by every selection on the tasting list, which included a few varietals I had never tried before. Every person on the staff was wonderful and informative and really went above and beyond. We got to try older vintages of several wines on their tasting list to compare to the newer ones, which made the tasting itself a really great value...I can't say enough nice things though, it really was a fantastic place to visit. Definitely must go if you're in the area!"

- Angie V.

"Cool cave area with the wine barrels inside for you to see!..One of the owners (Mark) was pouring and really made our
time there fun
. He has a great personality and makes you feel very welcome!
Wonderful wine, beautiful grounds with tables to sit and have a bite from their delicious snack menu and just enjoy the gorgeous view. And music too! Don't miss this place on your next winery outing!

"This place should be at the top of every wine lovers list when they visit Loudoun County.

"After spending the first half of the day visiting places that were more focused on fancy tasting rooms and event spaces, we finally found one where wine is the main attraction...It's obvious they really put their heart into making excellent wines.

"The tasting room may be small but the service is very personal, knowledgeable, and attentive. It's a very unique little space that looks like a bomb shelter from the outside, but serves at their cellar and tasting room. The property, itself, is absolute beautiful! Rolling green hills with 15 (grape) varieties growing on site, some of which I've never seen in Virginia."
